Yosh C. Beier has worked as an executive and leadership coach for over ten years – and brings 15 years of experience as global organizational effectiveness consultant to his engagements. He has worked with many Fortune 1000 companies and various nonprofit, governmental and non-governmental organizations. He is a managing partner and co-founder of Collaborative Coaching. He is the board chair of a Buddhist nonprofit organization and – among other things – heads the strategic planning committee.
Yosh brings a highly inter-disciplinary background and combines analytical skill with a deep understanding of human behavior. Trained as scientist, consultant, mediator, and therapist, he speaks both the language of human and organizational dynamics. He holds an MSc in theoretical physics from the Technical University Berlin, a professional degree in strategic decision and risk management from Stanford University, and licenses as psychotherapist and mediator. He was trained in conflict resolution at The International Center for Collaboration and Conflict Resolution, Columbia University. He is fully bi-lingual in English and German. Yosh is also a Certified SCRUM Master.
As a coach, Yosh facilitates the learning and growth of teams and individual leaders. His areas of expertise encompass collaboration, high-performance team-building, intentional culture, Agile, joint decision-making, strategic planning, and conscious leadership. He provides transition coaching and C-Suite coaching to individuals who step into new and expanded responsibilities. He works with entrepreneurs and leaders who seek to clarify key elements of their strategy / business model, who seek to be intentional about building a deliberately developmental culture, or who need to improve the strategic alignment of key stakeholders. Yosh also mediates intra-personal and inter-team conflicts that got stuck.
Yosh has worked on four continents and consulted many Fortune 1000 / FTSE 100 companies as well as government/non-government organizations such as the United Nations, UNICEF, The World Economic Forum, and the US Forest Service. He has worked with small- and medium-sized nonprofit organizations such as Story Corps, The Magnum Foundation, The Brooklyn Zen Center.
Prior to working for Collaborative Coaching, Yosh worked as a senior diversity and inclusion consultant and executive coach for The FutureWork Institute where he researched future social and technological trends and helped organizations translate these into workforce and workplace strategies. His previous positions in Germany included serving as a research fellow on organizational learning for the Fraunhofer Research Society in Germany and working as a change management consultant for the IT and manufacturing industries in Germany.
